Vineet Joshi, CTO – Co-FounderPrior to founding Cloud Elements Vineet consulted with dozens of companies in architecting, designing and building mobile and cloud applications for companies such as onTargetjobs.com, IQNavigator, Thomson Reuters Healthcare, wine.com, Zeehi and Apogee Physicians. During this time Vineet and Atul Barve began developing a re-usable set of software components used to accelerate the delivery of mobile and cloud applications. These components became the basis for the “Elements” in Cloud Element’s architecture and have been utilized to deploy applications in public, private and hybrid clouds.
As CTO at InfoNow Corporation (Channelinsight and Locationinsight) Vineet led the development of a highly scalable, multi-tenant, configurable and customizable enterprise cloud computing platform, that collected, enriched, distributed and provided analytics for large manufacturers like HP, Juniper, APC, Intel and Nvidia, for channel inventory and Point of Sale (POS) data. The architecture supports tens of million of transactions per month, and was designed to efficiently scale horizontally. Vineet’s multi-tenant platform experience began when he co-architected the cloud platform for Thomson Reuters Healthcare (now Truven Health Analytics) before the term “cloud computing” existed. This multi-tenant platform is the backbone for Truven Health Analytics and supports 80+ cloud applications and thousands of users.
Vineet has more than 20 years experience in technology, in leadership and engineering roles at companies including Reuters and Vignette. Vineet is listed as an inventor on multiple patents and holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.
